Mission Statement
The News & Views Papworth impartially report and share activities from the many varied sources within and outside the parish of Papworth Everard, Cambridgeshire. Whenever possible we will keep parishioners informed about local issues and events.

1. Submissions (Not Advertising)

  1. News & Views Papworth encourages submissions from any club, group, school, charity, or individual — free of charge — both within and outside the parish of Papworth Everard.
    Submissions should be emailed to janetpendrill@gmail.com.
    Please note News & Views Papworth reserves the right to withold submissions they feel unsuitable.

  2. News & Views Papworth does not promote any commercial business, except through paid advertising.

  3. News & Views Papworth reserves the right to edit all submissions. Any recommended word count provided is intended as a guideline only and does not guarantee that an article will remain unedited.

  4. News & Views Papworth reserves the right to determine which articles are published. Submission of an article does not guarantee its inclusion in the publication.

  5. While all submissions are welcomed and considered, no organisation, group, school, club, or individual has the automatic right to have their submission published in the News & Views Papworth and the Editors decision is final.

  6. On occasions, articles may not appear in print but may be published on the website due to restrictions of time and space. Additionally, some articles may appear on the website earlier than in print, should News & Views Papworth deem it appropriate.

2. Photography

  1. Photographs and images where posiible should be a high resolution to enable print quality

  2. Photographs and images should be sent as individual files (ideally .jpgs or .png) and not combined or merged together as montages.

  3. By submitting photographs or images, you confirm that you have obtained permission from the author and from any individuals featured in the photograph or image, allowing it to be published in the News & Views Papworth, print version, on its website, on other media platforms.

  4. Should the author of a photograph or image require a credit, please make this clear at the time of submission.

  5. On occasions, News & Views Papworth may take photographs or create images at events or functions. It will be assumed that any person appearing in these images has given their permission for the photographs or images to be published in print, on the website, and across other media platforms.

3. Advertising

  1. News & Views Papworth offers commercial advertising in a range of sizes and run schedules within its publication. Advertisers may choose to pay per issue, or in advance for 6 or 12 consecutive issues.

  2. Invoices will be issued and are payable upon receipt. News & Views Papworth reserves the right to withhold publication of any advertisement if payment has not been received before publishing.

  3. For advertisements booked on a 6 or 12 issue consecutive cycle, the booking will automatically renew at the end of the term. A new invoice will be issued for continued publication unless the advertiser requests cancellation. Advertisers are responsible for payment for any issues in which their advertisement has appeared prior to termination. All adverts will appear both in print and on the website, and the pricing shown in the rate card reflects this combined placement.

  4. Adverts run on an issue-to-issue schedule, with the start and end dates defined by the publication date of each issue when posted on the website.

4. Privacy

  1. News & Views Papworth does not use any information such as email addresses, text messages, or phone numbers from our subscribers for any purpose other than the production of the News & Views Papworth.
    Any such information, while stored within emails and work folders sent to us, is retained solely for reference. It is not used for any other reason, it is never shared, sold, or offered to any other persons or organisations.

  2. Our website newsandviewspapworth.co.uk does not collect or store any personal data apart from that sent by the conributor and is not used for any other reason, it is never shared, sold, or offered to any other persons or organisations.

  3. Mailing List Policy - News & Views Papworth maintains a mailing list solely for the purpose of reminding subscribers or contribuors when the deadline for contributions is imminent. This list is used for no other reason. Subscriber or contribuor information is never shared, sold, or offered to any other persons or organisations under any circumstances.
