Peter is one of our current District Councillors, having represented Caxton and Papworth ward on South Cambs District Council since 2022.   He has lived in Papworth Everard since 2003.  He is married with two grown up children, both of whom attended our local schools.  He is now retired, allowing him to concentrate on councillor tasks full time.

He sits on several committees, including Planning, Licensing, Climate & Environment Advisory, and Grants Advisory.  As part of his environmental responsibilities, Peter provides oversight of the council's “green to our core” policies.

Peter is re-standing for election in 2026 as there is much unfinished work.  The development Local Plan has been submitted for public consultation, but we must ensure residents' responses are taken into account.  Our infrastructure and facilities need upgrading to cope with the increasing population - Papworth's Printworks is a fine example of what can be done on a moderate budget.
