The Wildlife Trust BCN’s Team Wilder approach is all about supporting community action. We can offer advice, support, signposting, and training for free, for individuals, community groups, and schools who want help to do something linked to local wildlife or sustainability. Here are some of the things we have done in the Cambourne and Cambridge area over the last year.

● Supported the incredible Haslingfield and Harlton Eco Group with their Family Day in Nature

● Gave wildlife gardening advice to Cambourne Church Community Garden

● Supported Gamlingay Village Primary to write their Climate Action Plan

● Connected existing Youth Rangers doing birdwatching as their hobby for Duke of Edinburgh, ran some birdwatching sessions, and advised them on binoculars

● Trained some local walk leaders to help them understand how they can support participants in their group learn more about nature, and take action for wildlife

● Supported local volunteers to stand up for nature in new developments

● Fri 30th Oct, 5.30-7.30pm, family fire in the orchard at Trumpington Meadows

Also, please save the date! Fri 27th Nov, 3-7pm is our annual Christmas Fair at the Wildlife Trust BCN headquarters in Cambourne. There will be locally made gifts to buy, and free craft activities for children.
