Spotlight on Jenny

Your Tenant Voice in Action

Meet Jenny, a Papworth Trust tenant of three and a half years and a member of our Tenant Scrutiny Panel.

Jenny joined the panel because she wanted to understand more about how the Trust manages its housing services and, importantly, to have a say in how those services could be improved.

So, what does the Tenant Scrutiny Panel do?

The panel works alongside Papworth Trust staff and Board members to look closely at our housing and maintenance services, ask questions, challenge how things are done and make recommendations for improvement. The panel also carries out ‘deep dive’ reviews into specific areas of service, looking at what is working well, what could be better and whether agreed improvements are put into practice.

For Jenny, being part of the panel is about more than reviewing reports. She enjoys working with other tenants and staff, sharing different experiences and helping to shape services such as repairs and community safety. Her message to fellow tenants is simple:

“Your voice matters. Let it be heard.”

If you’re interested in finding out more about the Tenant Scrutiny Panel or getting involved, why not speak to the Customer Engagement Team by emailing tenantinvolvement@papworthtrust.org.uk

You could attend a panel meeting as an observer and see what it’s all about. As Jenny says, “If you like what you see and hear, dive in and give it a go!”

Help with the Intensive Housing Management charge

We understand that the new Intensive Housing Management (IHM) charge may mean some tenants have more to pay each week. If you cannot claim the IHM charge through Housing Benefit or Universal Credit and paying it would cause you financial difficulty, we may be able to help.

We have set up an IHM Transitional Support Fund to help eligible tenants adjust to the new charge.

Please contact the Housing Team on 0330 678 0008 – option 2 or email housing@papworthtrust.org.uk for more information about the fund or to request an application form.

Your feedback helps us improve

After a repair or some other maintenance visits from Papworth Trust, you will now receive a text message inviting you to complete a short online survey.

● Your feedback helps us understand what’s working well and where we can make improvements to our repairs service.

● The survey will come by text from 07462 380024 and will include a link to complete it online

Please don’t reply to this number. If you need to report a repair or speak to your Housing Officer, please continue to contact us on 0330 678 0008

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback — every response helps us improve our services.
