Candidate Profiles Invitation
Choosing who to vote for isn’t easy when only names appear on the ballot. The upcoming District and Parish Council elections on 7th May will be especially challenging, as many candidates may not yet be well known in the community.
All candidates are warmly invited to submit a short résumé or profile (up to 100 words) for publication in News & Views Papworth. Your profile should include:
A brief summary of your background and experience
Your reasons for standing for election
Your thoughts and priorities for the community
If you are standing for the District Council, please state clearly whether you represent a political party or are standing as an independent.
If you are standing for the Parish Council, please include your reflections on the Nolan Principles of Public Life — the ethical standards you will be duty bound to uphold as a councillor.
Profiles will appear both in print and online to help residents make informed choices and your contribution may be edited to fit. We can supply you with a peronal proof of your content before publication if you require, please advise accordingly.
This is a free opportunity to introduce yourself to residents, help voters make informed choices, and contribute to building councils that truly represents and understands the village’s needs for the future. To see a representation of how the information may be displayed click here
Please send your résumé/profile to productionpendrill@gmail.com or janetpendrill@gmail.com or use the Contact Form below and attach any files you feel are relevant by Monday 20th April.
