COME FROM AWAY

Transferring to this new venue made perfect sense to Bourn Players when they reflected on the plot of COME FROM AWAY. The show tells the true story of 7,000 airline passengers stranded in Gander, Newfoundland, after the September 11th terrorist attacks. The show focuses on the small town's extraordinary hospitality and how they welcomed and supported the displaced travellers in their homes and community buildings, showcasing the best of humanity amidst tragedy. The musical explores the interactions between the plane people and the Islanders, highlighting themes of generosity, compassion, and the forging of unexpected friendships.  Bourn Players are confident that Papworth Everard Village Hall will make the perfect venue to showcase the show’s ‘strength in community’ message, and there own talents.

Bourn Players are inviting all local performers (and aspiring performers), 16 yeas of age (year 12) and older, to an open Audition Workshop to help us cast the show. We are a welcoming, inclusive group and are always delighted when new people come along to our auditions. We very much hope that Papworth’s singing and performing talent will come along to Papworth Village Hall on Thursday 10th of September to participate in the Audition Workshop.
