Parish Council Candidate
Jeremy Carey
Papworth has been my home since 2013. Formerly, I led an engineering consultancy. Now I work from the village, helping safeguard £100Ms of public funding. I'm also ‘chair of governors’ at Northstowe School.
I’m standing because I’m deeply disappointed by the Council’s unwillingness to discuss its most controversial decisions. From the £200k “war chest” or defunding News&Views, to locking the MUGA, the lack of transparency is unacceptable.
Papworth needs change. Other new councillors and I seek to rebuild an open, accessible Parish Council that works with residents, explains its decisions, and provides fair support to village life.
